Innovative vacuum solutions and compressors for mobile applications – for wastewater treatment in municipal waste disposal and cleaning services
Rheinfelden, April 2026 – CVS engineering GmbH from Rheinfelden will be showcasing its innovative portfolio at this year’s IFAT from May 4 to 7 in Munich – in Hall C4, Booth 217. The tailor-made vacuum pumps and compressors from the specialist are designed for mobile applications. The lightweight, compact products enable operators of municipal vehicles in the waste disposal and cleaning industry to handle contaminated materials efficiently and safely.
Removal, transport, and disposal of contaminated materials
“We will be presenting a wide range of products to visitors at IFAT,” says Fabio Geiger, Area Sales and Marketing Manager at CVS engineering GmbH. “Our vacuum pumps and compressors are installed in suction and flushing vehicles. There, they are used to clean sewers, sewage pipes, shafts, and drainage systems, for example to loosen, extract, and remove deposits,” says Fabio Geiger, specifying the requirements. The extracted materials are transported in hermetically sealed stainless steel or aluminum containers. “Depending on the application, the tanks can be operated under vacuum or pressure to ensure safe handling of hazardous and sensitive liquids,” emphasizes Fabio Geiger.
Combination of vacuum and compressor technology
Certain suction and flushing vehicles combine vacuum and compressor technologies: for example, combined suction and flushing vehicles offer multifunctional solutions by integrating vacuum technology with high-pressure technology. The special applications ensure thorough cleaning and effective removal of blockages in pipes, tanks, or sewage systems. Advantages include simultaneous or alternating use, with the dual functionality of combined suction and jetting providing greater flexibility. For users, this means lower operating costs, a smaller vehicle fleet, and reduced personnel costs.
Good vacuum performance under demanding conditions
The water-cooled VacuStar W rotary vane vacuum pump was developed for high performance suction and flushing vehicles, including water recycling systems. It combines high vacuum performance with great operational reliability under the most demanding conditions. In addition, cvs in Munich is exhibiting the powerful VacuStar WR 2500, WR 3100, and WR 4000 liquid ring vacuum pumps for heavy suction vehicles and flushing trucks with throughputs of up to 4,063 m³/h. The compact, lightweight VacuStar WR 800 and WR 1600 are ideal entry-level models in the WR series. They were developed for water recycling systems and aquaculture applications such as CO₂ degassing and fish handling – especially when constant vacuum and pressure performance is required.
Waste collection, emptying separators, and sewer cleaning
The robust, air-cooled VacuStar L 400 is used in compact vehicles with tank volumes of up to 5 m³. Thanks to its efficient design and versatile drive options, this rotary vane vacuum pump is ideal for municipal, industrial, and environmental applications. The air cooled VacuStar L 400 compressor of the same name, with a delivery rate of up to 345 m³/h, is a compact, energy-efficient rotary vane compressor for the high demands of small suction vehicles that are compact, reliable, and powerful. Areas of application include waste collection, emptying sludge and grease separators, and smaller sewer cleaning work
IFAT visitors can obtain further information on the appropriate solutions for the respective areas at the Munich Trade Fair Center from May 4 to 7 in Munich. At the CVS engineering GmbH booth in Hall C4, Booth 217.
Special areas of application for vacuum pumps and compressors from CVS engineering at a glance:
– Use on all types of suction and flushing vehicles
– Suction and pumping of a wide variety of materials such as sludge, liquids, deposits, and industrial residues
– Emptying of tanks, containers, and plant components, e.g., in industrial plants or during maintenance work
– Support for sewer and infrastructure cleaning by efficiently suctioning out dirt, sediments, or blockages.
